Tokyo School Visit (27 June – 4 July 2018)
If you have ever wanted to visit Japan and its primary, secondary and tertiary educational institutions while immersing in the local culture, now is your chance!
In late June 2018, The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) will initiate an 8-day school and cultural visit to Tokyo, Japan in partnership with Tokyo Gakugei University (TGU 東京学芸大学). TGU is our sister university and one of Japan’s core universities specialized in teacher training. Led by Prof. Christina Yu Wai Mui, Associate Vice President (Student Learning) and Dr. Mabel Shek Mei Po, Director of School Partnership and Field Experience, 15 students will be selected to represent EdUHK and engage in a series of activities that include:
- Visits of local primary and secondary schools
- Tour of the TGU campus
- Meeting and engaging with TGU students and faculty
- Cultural tours
This is a valuable opportunity to develop a better understanding of the education system and culture of Japan while building meaningful relationships with members of the TGU community. Below are some key information about this programme.

Eligible students | Full-time BEd students (UGC-funded) AND Completed/in-process of completing the FE courses – FEX3124 (BP1) or FEX4144 (FES) |
