Through various kinds of activities, we hope that participating student teachers will form a strong foundation in various disciplines of science and their interest and research in science will flourish.

Orientation Camp (3/10,4/10):

Visit to Mai Po Nature Reserve (November):
To view the migratory birds in one of HKSAR's few country sides, join our day tour to the Mai Po Nature Reserve.

First Aid Course (November to December):
Jointly organized with St. John's Ambulance Brigade. Successful participants will be presented with certificate issued by the St. John's.

Visit to Power Station (December):
Power supply problems? To prepare for future students' enquiries, visit power station and be briefed about our power supply. During the visit, discussion on how to handle extra-curricular visits will be made.

Visit to Guangzhou Nature Village and Environmental Protection Department (Christmas Holiday):
To view the organic farming and enjoy all-vegetable meal, join the overnight tour to Guangzhou Nature Village and Environmental Protection Department with transportation and accommodation fully organized by Lecturer of the institute. This activity is seeking sponsor from the Science Department.

Institute Plants Labelling Exercise (Start from December):
We are going to label the plants in our Institute. Interested Club members are invited to join this meaning exercise.

Agriculture Experience(Start from January):
Come to experience the life of farming and taste for yourselves the vegetables and fruit you grow in the Institute.

Talk on Sex Education (January):
Sex education will be an embarrassment to most student teachers. Lecturer from the Institute will be invited to discuss with all participants.
