We are looking for students with a genuine interest in peer mentoring and are keen to serve prospective DSE students through:

• Share experience of campus life and the admission process and share study tips with prospective DSE students who are studying in your alma mater (if possibly arranged through matching).
• Assisting prospective students in handling new student registration procedures and related arrangements.
• Helping potential EdUHK students adapt to University life in advance.

New Feature

Participants can enroll in the Peer Mentoring Programme through Buddy@EdUHK to be a Peer Mentor of First Year Experience 2024/25 to help new EdUHK students in adaptation.

Timeline

• 2-3,5 APR  10-12 APR: Selection interview
• 22 or 24 APR (PM): 1st Buddy Training
• 6 May (PM): 2nd Buddy Training
• MAY - AUG: Contact with DSE students
• JUL – NOV: Peer Mentor programme and training (for participants enrolled in Peer Mentoring Programme only)

Eligibility
Full-time EdUHK undergraduate students who graduated from local secondary schools
 
Successful applicants will be offered:

• Mentoring experience with secondary school students
• ELAT record and Certificate of participation
• Chance of getting into the new elite Peer Mentoring programme

Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a selection interview tentatively held in early April 2024. Successful applicants are required to attend the mandatory training sessions in Apr and May 2024.

Applicants who do not receive an interview invitation before 12 April 2024 may consider their applications unsuccessful.
