We are looking for students with a genuine interest in peer mentoring and are keen to serve DSE students through:

• Share experience of campus life and the admission process and share study tips with DSE students who are studying in your alma mater (if possibly arranged through matching).
• Assisting prospective EdUHK students in handling new student registration procedures and related arrangements.
• Helping potential EdUHK students adapt to University life in advance.

Special Feature

Participants can enroll in the Peer Mentoring Programme through Buddy@EdUHK to be a Peer Mentor of First Year Experience 2025/26 to help new EdUHK students in adaptation.

Timeline

• 7-11 April 2025: Selection interview (ZOOM)
• 29 April 2025 (14:00-16:30): 1st Buddy Training (ZOOM)
• 2 May 2025 (18:00 - 19:30): 2nd Buddy Training (ZOOM)
• 17 May 2025 (PM): Faculty Info Day - Buddy Scheme Gathering (Face to Face)
• May – August : Contact with DSE students (E-mail, WhatsApp, etc.)
• July – November: Peer Mentor programme and training (for participants enrolled in Peer Mentoring Programme only)

Eligibility

Full-time EdUHK undergraduate students who graduated from local secondary schools and had experience in JUPAS
 
Successful applicants will be offered:

• Mentoring experience with secondary school students
• ELAT record and Certificate of participation
• Chance of getting into the new Peer Mentoring programme

Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a selection interview held in early April 2025. Successful applicants are required to attend the mandatory training sessions in Apr and May 2025.

Applicants who do not receive an interview invitation before 17 April 2025 may consider their applications unsuccessful.
