Organized by the Xiqu and Intangible Cultural Heritage Centre (XICH), The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), The “International Symposium on Xiqu and ICH Development 2025” will be held on 22 – 24 February 2025 at EdUHK campus and Xiqu Centre, West Kowloon Cultural District.
With the main theme of “Developing Xiqu and ICH as a means of disseminating Chinese culture globally”, the symposium will bring together scholars, practitioners, educators, and enthusiasts around the world to discuss and explore the development of Xiqu and ICH as a powerful means of disseminating Chinese culture internationally. The symposium will comprise keynote speeches by internationally renowned scholars, plenary and parallel sessions, and paper and poster presentations.
An "Outstanding Paper Award" will be announced in the symposium. A symposium proceeding with ISBN will also be published afterwards.
