In a contributed article to Ming Pao Education, Dr Lin Dan, Associate Professor at the Department of Psychology, introduced morpheme games and parent-child reading to parents whose kids will advance to primary one this year. She said that playing games on morphemes can raise children's morphological awareness, which is vital for building up Chinese reading capacity during their kindergarten and primary school education. She also shared some tips for reading with children.
