School-based Experience Sharing Seminar

Aims:

a/

To provide an opportunity and platform for PE teachers to share, discuss and disseminate good PE practices especially the concept of catering learner diversity in PE;

b/

To share good experiences of school-based assessment, pedagogy and curricular development and practices in PE with the emphasis on the theme, catering learner diversity; and

c/

To familiarise with PE curriculum development in Hong Kong schools in particular, catering learner diversity in PE.

Format:

It is intended to organize the School Based Experience Seminar (Parallel Sessions) in the form of a one-day function with at least 12 presentations of papers of 18 themes. The function expects the participation of 800 PE teachers. Open application and invitations to schools, organization and PE teachers will be conducted to solicit presentations. Priority will be given to those with presentations related to the theme, “catering learner diversity in PE”. There will also be 2 lessons for analysis ( 1 for primary and 1 for secondary school PE teachers) with follow up group discussions.
