1. Graduation Requirement
For cohorts admitted before 2014-15, students of undergraduate programmes, which do NOT lead to QTS/QKT, are required to pass the ITC Test before graduation.
2. ITC Test
ITC test is organized and administered by the Department of Mathematics and Information Technology (MIT) and the Centre for Learning, Teaching and Technology (LTTC).

2.5. Marking Scheme and Passing Criteria
The test consists of two parts -- Practical Questions and Multiple Choice Questions.
Practical Questions
In this part, there are three different sections which covers the following tasks:

Reminder: Each candidate is required to upload three files for the practical questions. It is candidate's responsibility to check the file content carefully before uploading. Candidates have also to make sure the three files have been successfully uploaded in the test.
Multiple Choice Questions
In this part, there are three different sections and each contains ten multiple choice questions.

Passing Criteria

To pass the test, you have to pass ALL sections.
-
To pass a section, you have to pass at least 50% of the total number of tasks in that section.
-
To pass a task, all the task requirements must be completed correctly.
Marking Scheme
-
The ITC Test marking scheme is confidential and will be only used by the markers internally.
2.6. Test Result
Your provisional test result will be sent to you via email around two weeks after the test. Subject to approval by the Board of Examiners (BoE), your final result can be viewed in DegreeWorks (http://www.eduhk.hk/advising/view.php?secid=2154) after the end of semester if you pass the test. If you fail the test, you can retake it before graduation.
Please note that the ITC Test questions and papers are confidential and they will be only used/ communicated in the examination venue.
2.7 ITC Test Exemption
Students who have fulfilled the requirement of IT competency as graduation or compulsory requirement in previous studies in UGC-funded institutions as demonstrated by an information technology competency test or an equivalent course in the following table can be exempted from the institutional ITC Test and students are required to apply for exemption with supporting documentary evidence (e.g., course outlines/ transcripts).
*For cases not listed in the table, they will be considered on a case-by-case basis
2.7.1 Application Procedures
1. Starting from 1 December 2016, hard copy application will not be accepted. Please read the notes and complete the online application form here.
2. Applications will only be processed with sufficient information. Application process will be delayed or not be processed if insufficient information is provided. Please make sure the information provided in the form is accurate.
3. The application will be processed after all required documents have been received. Results will be sent by email normally in 4 to 6 weeks.
2.7.2 Application Period
Application can be made within the first two months after each semester starts (i.e. the commencement day of each semester in accordance with the University’s Academic Calendar). Late application may not be considered.
