“Learningverse” won “Bronze Medal” at the 48th International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva, Switzerland 2023; and “Silver Medal” and “Special Award” at The International Invention Innovation Competition in Canada (iCAN) 2023
Learningverse is a 3D metaverse platform designed and developed by Dr Song Yanjie’s research team and funded by CRAC and KT projects. Learningverse provides an immersive, interactive, and collaborative environment for educational and training purposes. It can be accessed on a common computer with a webcam. The platform allows users to act as avatars generated by mirroring themselves to participate in it. It can be adapted to learners across different levels for various subjects, training, cultural exchange programmes, etc. in virtual or blended contexts. Additionally, the platform supports educators in uploading custom collaboration tools and 3D models to create learning environments that tailor to their pedagogical design and practices.
