MSc (AI&EdTech) Graduate Wins Top Honors with Best Presentation Award at IEEE International Conference

The vibrant city of Xi’an played host to the IEEE International Conference on Educational Technology in 2023 (ICET 2023), where innovative ideas took center stage. Among the many captivating presentations, one stood out—an innovative talk on inventive methods for learning Chinese characters.

Titled "Elevating Chinese Character Learning for Second Language Learners through Visual Mnemonics: A Comprehensive Study," this presentation marked the collaborative efforts of our MSc(AI&EdTech) graduate, Mr. Felix Leminen, and Dr. Bai Shurui Tiffany, who served as the project supervisor. Their research introduces cutting-edge educational technology techniques aimed at enhancing the efficacy of Chinese character acquisition.

For Mr. Felix Leminen, participating in ICET 2023 was an entirely new and enriching experience. Engaging with professionals from diverse corners of the world offered a platform for sharing ideas and sparking exciting collaborations.

The culmination of this outstanding presentation was Mr. Felix Leminen being honored with "The Best Presentation Award," recognizing his exceptional contribution to the conference.
