Profile

Professor John Elliott is highly and widely acclaimed for his pioneering role in education, especially in developing and implementing action research. He is also a long time friend of the Hong Kong Institute of Education, contributing to the Institute in many ways, including acting as a Visiting Professor. He has also contributed to the work of the Hong Kong Curriculum Development Institute, as a consultant for the new education reforms. In recognition of his many academic achievements worldwide, and his ongoing contribution to education in Hong Kong, Professor Elliot was awarded an Honorary Doctor of Education at the Institute's graduation ceremony, in November 2002.
