CHENG Tak-lai and Emily MANG from IE led a team of 15 EdUHK students under the Global Learning Enhancement Fund (GLEF) programme on an 8-day study tour of Mongolia from 30 May to 6 June, entitled "Nomadic Culture in a Globalised Era". During this tour they had visited five Mongolian schools: an international school, a school for visually impaired children, a public school, a polytechnic college and the Education University of Mongolia. They also visited the Chinghis Khan Museum and Terelj National Park. The tour was a great success and the students learned a lot from the Mongolian people, especially about their values, spirit and respect for nature. The eight-day tour was an enriching and memorable trip for all the students and the tour leaders. It's expected that the study tour will become an annual event and that more opportunities for integration with Mongolian schools and universities will be realised.
