A. Registration Fee

Conference materials and tea are included in the registration fee.
Registration can be done on-site.
The following people will not need to pay the registration fee: (1) Speakers/Paper presenters at the conference; (2) Full-time students of secondary schools and tertiary institutions
B. Meals
Reservation for a 3-day lunch buffet package can be done together with registration so as to avoid long queues and crowds at the dining area.
The conference dinner will be held in the evening of Friday, June 23, 2006. Speakers/Paper presenters will not need to pay for the dinner.
Vegetarian menu will be available for all meals.
Meals can be purchased on-site. Only Hong Kong dollars are accepted at the Canteen.

D. Payment
Registration fee and the rates for meals are sorted into payment packages. Please indicate, in the downloadable registration and payment form (not applicable to online registration and payment), or in the online registration and payment form, the package that best suits your needs according to the following table.

I. For conference speakers/paper presenters who do not need to pay the registration fee and for the conference dinner

Conference speakers/paper presenters who request no meals to be reserved do not need to pay at this stage, and so do not need to pick any options of payment.
II. For participants who are not conference speakers/paper presenters and register after April 23, 2006

Payment can be made by:
1. Credit card
Only VISA and Master are accepted; payment (together with registration) must be done online.
2. Bank drafts
Bank drafts must be (1) denominated in either Hong Kong Dollars (preferred) or in US Dollars; (2) made payable to "The Hong Kong Institute of Education" with the name of the participant and the purpose of payment specified as " Gender Equity Education Conference " on the back; and (3) submitted together with the registration form by post to the following address:

E. Clarification of payment for lunch
Please pay attention to the fact that payment by cash on-site is only applicable to registration fee payment, but not to the lunch buffet package subscription. The fee for the 3-day lunch package must be paid at the same time when registration is done unless you are considering buying lunch (not lunch buffet) at the institute canteen. We regret for any confusion and inconvenience caused.
An alternative form of payment: other than online credit card payment is to pay by bank drafts. Bank drafts must be (1) denominated in either Hong Kong Dollars (preferred) or in US Dollars; (2) made payable to "The Hong Kong Institute of Education" with the name of the participant and the purpose of payment specified as " Gender Equity Education Conference " on the back; and (3) submitted together with the registration form by post to the following address:

F. Registration Status
Registration can either be done by (a) online CREDIT CARD payment; (b) emailed downloaded registration and payment forms and payment by bank drafts (if applicable); or (c) cash on-site (for those not subscribing to lunch buffet package only).
For (a), participants should be able to verify their registration status by themselves when doing the registration online as to whether their registration is approved or rejected. They should not need further verification from us. Any questions concerning the use of the online credit-card payment system should be directed to the organizing committee.
For (b), participants should wait for our verification of their registration status.
G. Deadline for Registration (including Lunch Subscription) & Accomodation booking
Since we need to confirm the number of participants who will be subscribing to our lunch package in advance, persons interested to participate in our conference MUST register and pay for the lunch buffet package BEFORE June 11, 2006. Late requests WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED.
For persons interested to participate in our conference but would not like to subscribe to our lunch packages, they can do the registration at any time, including on the date of their participation.
All accommodation booking MUST BE CONFIRMED BEFORE MAY 14,2006. NO LATE REQUESTS WILL BE ENTERTAINED.
Attention:
Requests for modification or cancellation of registration and reservations for meals and accommodation will not be entertained under normal circumstances.
