Participants will learn advanced issues in speech-language pathology. Topics will include the following:
Theories of the nature and causes of disorder of fluency (including stuttering and cluttering) across the life span, and different assessment and evaluation techniques including individual and family counselling.
Knowledge of the incidence, pathogenesis, differential diagnostic and intervention procedures of different voice disorders across the life span including psychogenic and neurogenic disorders such as musculo-skeletal dysfunction, gender reassignment, vocal tract pathology.
Knowledge of the incidence, pathogenesis, differential diagnostic and intervention procedures of different head and neck cancers
