Educational Counselling, Therapeutic Process and Teaching Pedagogy

This course will give students an overview of the practice of speech-language pathology and teaching in educational settings. It covers a critical review of theories and approaches to counselling, emotional response to communication disorders and counselling skills for people with communication disorders and their families, and inclusion strategies and intervention for students with communication disorders, learning disabilities, and educational challenges. Participants will learn to apply counselling skills, therapeutic processes and teaching pedagogies in educational setting.
