PSY6011 Research Project in Psychological Studies
The aim of this course is to enable students to demonstrate their ability to develop, plan, and execute psychological research. It is designed to foster independent thinking and to encourage students to engage in critical thinking and academic debate on significant issues and principles of psychological investigation, through the process of carrying out their own research study to answer an empirical question. Problem solving, critical and reflective thinking are emphasized in this course. Under supervision, students are expected to undertake a personally developed and executed empirical investigation examining specific problems or questions in psychology. The project requires demonstration of competence and skills in developing an empirical study, collecting, analyzing, interpreting data, and presenting results of their project in written form.
