Thanks to advanced fast Internet communication technology development, mobile computing devices such as smartphones and wearables have become essential daily personal devices that we cannot live without. Mobile companies, applications developers, school educators, enterprises, and organisations seized the state-of-the-art mobile technologies and opportunities and developed different teaching and learning applications and systems to meet the increasing education, training and professional development needs in the 21st-century. This course will enable participants to understand, analyse, and incorporate mobile devices and technologies into curriculum planning and evaluation, instructional design, assessment, and feedback to support effective teaching and meaningful learning across educational disciplines in the local, Greater Bay Area (GBA) and global contexts. Moreover, throughout the course interactive learning and hands-on practical experiences, participants will evaluate and critically reflect on the issues and controversies concerning mobile devices and technologies in education, training, and professional development, such as Internet and mobile security, data protection and privacy, equity and ethical challenges, social and environmental impacts, health and wellbeing, sustainable human development.
