There is a strong demand for technologists who understand learning theories and instructional designers and educators who understand technologies and effectively integrate technology into learning, instruction, and curriculum planning. The field of EdTech is becoming part of major education programs in institutions worldwide. The aim of the course is to prepare students with the knowledge and skills to understand organisational needs and requirements, to use and manage existing and emerging technologies effectively, to be able to apply associated pedagogies and instructional strategies appropriately, to evaluate and manage EdTech solutions, and to foresee and prepare for future possibilities in using EdTech to enhance curriculum planning and development and assessment. The course will also discuss the fast-growing educational technology's roles in the 21st century school curriculum and students whole-person development.
