Module Code 單元編號 TLS3060 Module Title 單元名稱 MAKING A DIFFERENCE: DESIGNING GOOD SERVICE LEARNING Module Synopsis 單元概要 This course will provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge about how to design good service learning projects and/or activities for children and adolescents. Students will gain the knowledge about service-learning models, principles of designing good service learning, how to facilitate students’ reflection, assessment of student learning in service-learning, characteristics of different types of children and adolescents, charactistics of various service recipients, etc. Students will also gain a holistic understanding of service-learning practice in primary and secondary schools and develop their professional capacity in the design and delivery of service-learning with reference to school settings in Hong Kong. Direct experience of designing and delivering a service-learning will be a part of course experience.
