Module Code 單元編號 TLS3007 Module Title 單元名稱 SCHOOL-BASED CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT Module Synopsis 單元概要 This course will extend students’ knowledge and skills in terms of contributing to the initiation and implementation of school-based curriculum development in the 21st century. It will introduce students to key theories and contemporary issues in developing school-based curricula, as well as some notable current practices and innovations in school-based curricula. Students will engage in theory-driven critical analyses of authentic school-based curricula with particular reference to the Hong Kong context, and will design a school-based curriculum that can enhance teaching and learning effectiveness in the 21st century. Through case studies, reflective inquiry and other course activities, the course will prepare students to make professional, ethical and meaningful contributions to their school-based curriculum in the future.
