Module Code 單元編號 ENG4292 Module Title 單元名稱 PRAGMATICS Module Synopsis 單元概要 This course introduces students to the key concepts in pragmatics as they pertain to the use of language in a variety of situations and modes. It develops students’ ability to analyze spoken and written texts as well as non-textual types of communication. Using established data-gathering and analytic techniques, examples of authentic discourse from a variety of sources and genres will be analysed to better understand how meaning is conveyed in human communication.
