CAPSTONE PROJECT I: RESEARCH METHODS & PROPOSAL IN EARLY CHILDHOOD AND FAMILY STUDIES |
Module Synopsis 單元概要 |
This course provides opportunities for students to understand the basic research methods used in early childhood and family studies. Both quantitative and qualitative approaches will be introduced with a critical reflection on their strengths and shortcomings. Students are expected to acquire the basic skills for conducting a practice-based capstone project that is significant, innovative, and practical, including identifying a topic, conducting a literature review, adopting appropriate methods of collecting and analysing data, and writing a proper project proposal. The capstone project has to do with designing engaging learning and teaching materials to support the development of young children in an area of early childhood and family studies. The project is expected to transfer knowledge to work-related contexts. |
