It examines relevant theories, societal and cultural forces that make for these non-parental caregivers, and factors that may facilitate or hinder their childcare experiences. It also strengthens the communication and engagement skills of students, promoting their abilities to design and implement collaborative programs that support non-parental caregivers in educational and community settings.
