Students will be supported to explore the characteristics of parenting during the preschool years and to identify strategies to support parents of preschoolers. Major topics will include: parenting theories, effective parenting model and strategies, influences of child characteristics on parenting, and the role of culture, context, and diversity in influencing parenting during the preschool years.
