PARENTING IN INFANCY AND TODDLERHOOD: THEORIES AND PRACTICE |
Module Synopsis 單元概要 |
In this course, students will begin developing their professional identities as early childhood professionals, those who work with very young children (birth to age 3) and their families. Students will examine dynamics of parent-child interaction in infancy and toddlerhood, and its effects on the development, care, learning, and wellbeing of very young children. Two major themes are highlighted, the physical aspects of home environments, and the human relationship elements of home environments. Under the framework of respectful, responsive, relationship-based care and education, students will develop their capacities in engaging parents in providing quality early experience for infants and toddlers in family settings. |
