A STEAM teaching workshop for S.K.H. Ling Oi Primary School conducted by Mr Mak Tsz Pun was held on 16 October 2024. The topic was "Concepts of STEAM Curriculum Planning and Case Studies". During the two-and-a-half-hour workshop, the speaker reviewed the origins of STEAM education in Hong Kong and looked ahead to its future development. He also discussed the significance of STEAM education with the teachers. The workshop explained the principles of STEAM curriculum and instructional design, and demonstrated how to implement these concepts through a practical case study. The speaker designed interactive activities, allowing teachers to immediately try out the engineering projects from the teaching case. This approach provided both theoretical explanations and hands-on experiences, enhancing the teachers' understanding of STEAM teaching concepts and their skills in implementing STEAM education.
