  • During the field trip to Guangzhou, I was impressed by the visit to the museum at Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. The exhibition "The Shape of Thought: Discourse Exploration of Chinese Oil Painting in the New Era" showcased the aesthetic transformation and cultural response of Chinese oil painting in the new era through the works of various artists. It emphasized the intertwining of art with history, philosophy, and contemporary social issues, and its role as a cultural carrier in the construction of national identity. From a curatorial perspective, the exhibition was academically oriented, solemn in style, and focused on constructing discourse from a Chinese viewpoint. This visit deepened my understanding of the importance of visual arts in cultural diplomacy and the construction of national image, broadening my horizons in art management and education, and laying a foundation for my future work.

  • I participated in a two-day, one-night exchange tour to Guangzhou in March, which gave me a refreshed understanding of the mainland. During the visit to Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, I was impressed by the strong artistic atmosphere and the diverse canteen dishes. The Lingnan-style architecture and the porcelain relief of "Along the River During the Qingming Festival" at Baomo Garden were fascinating to me. Although I couldn't enter the Sacred Heart Cathedral, the bustling market nearby and the friendly cats caught my attention. The exchange tour allowed me to experience Guangzhou's cultural characteristics and city vibe, and I hope these experiences will help me in my daily life.

  • My internship at EdUHK has been transformative, equipping me with the skills needed for a successful career in arts and culture management. Reflecting on my goals, I significantly improved my communication and coordination skills and honed my art management abilities through planning and executing various activities.

A highlight was managing the 616 Music Concert, where I collaborated with lighting and sound technicians, backstage staff, and performers. This enhanced my cross-disciplinary collaboration skills, as I had to understand and integrate the needs of people from different backgrounds. I was in charge of screen control, ensuring a seamless performance.

I also applied knowledge from my Arts Management coursework to create multimedia resources and manage logistics efficiently. This internship provided ample opportunities to develop problem-solving, communication, and critical thinking skills, illuminating my career path and solidifying my aspiration to lead in arts and culture management.
