 Ceremony to acknowledge the generous donation received from the Tin Ka Ping Foundation 教大舉行儀式，銘謝田家炳教育基金會慷慨捐贈 香港教育大學 2019-2020 年報 31 夥伴合作：造福學界 惠澤社群 With a primary focus on teacher education, we are committed to fostering school and community partnership as well as promoting a caring campus. We received tremendous support from different sectors of the community, which enabled us to make a greater contribution to education. 教大以教師教育為先，致力加強與學界及社區的夥伴關係，並積極推動關愛校園。承蒙社會各界鼎力支持， 本校得以為教育作出更大貢獻。 銘謝社會支持 二零一九至二零年度，教大承蒙捐贈者、夥伴及支持者襄助， 錄得逾一億七千八百萬港元捐款，為歷年最高，亦為二零一八 至一九年度捐款之三倍。其間，教大亦錄得總額達三億零六百 萬港元承諾捐款，涵蓋一系列與特殊教育、教育創新科技、中 國語言及文化，以及生命教育相關的先導項目，並支持本校設 立獎學金及助學金。 本校衷心感謝所有捐贈者的鼎力支持，尤其在特殊教育及教 育創新科技方面，相關項目所獲得的捐款及承諾捐款均大幅 上升。我們亦銘謝學界及社區合作夥伴的承諾和參與，促進 學校教育發展，並惠及教師、家長，以及不同學習需要與年 齡層的莘莘學子。 Gratitude for community support In 2019-20, the University received a record amount of over HK$178 million from donors, partners and supporters, representing a three-fold increase compared to donations received in the preceding year. In terms of donations pledged, a total of HK$306 million was recorded during the same period, for an array of pioneering projects in special educational needs (SEN), educational technology, Chinese language and culture and life education, as well as for scholarships and bursaries. We are grateful for our donors’ staunch support, especially in SEN and educational technology projects, which culminated in a significant increase in donations received and pledged. We are also indebted to our school and community partners whose commitment and participation contributed to the advancement of school education for the benefit of teachers, parents, and students of different learning abilities and age groups.
