BLESS uses biological markers, which are measurable indicators of biological and physiological states, as scientific evidence to support educational studies. For example, changes in hormone levels in human samples are studied to discover whether certain activities are constructive in building a positive relationship between parents and their children. Different biological markers can help identify effective treatments and recognise abnormal cases in mental disorders. 生物分析實驗室開拓教育研究新領域 二零二零年六月,教大設立全港首間以教育 研究為重點的生物分析實驗室。該實驗室 藉著測量生理狀態的客觀指標,作為支持 教育研究的科學根據,例如研究員可透 過檢測唾液樣本中荷爾蒙水平的變化, 得知家庭對不同活動的反應,以及介 入活動是否有助建立積極的親子關 係。藉著檢測各種生物標誌物,可識 別有效的治療方法及評估精神健康 問題的異常病例。
