EdUHK Annual Report 2018-2019

This summer, the University launched a two-year project, titled Life Education and Citizen Science through Tree Protection and Conservation. Through a specially designed mobile app and teaching and learning materials, the project aims to create a platform for citizens to contribute to greening and re-greening efforts, raise public awareness of tree conservation, and promote the importance of life education. Congenial atmosphere For the 14th consecutive year, EdUHK won the title of Caring Organisation by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service. In addition, the University received a Certificate of the Good Employer Charter from the Labour Department and was named a Family-Friendly Employer and awarded a Special Mention by the Family Council. For its efforts to promote a breastfeeding-friendly workplace, the University received an Award for Breastfeeding Support from the Family Council and a Certificate of Appreciation from UNICEF. 今年夏天，本校開展為期兩年的「樹木保育–推廣 生命教育與科學普及」計劃。該計劃以專門設計的 手機應用程式，以及各種相關教學材料，旨在建立 平台，讓香港市民為綠化及再綠化工作出謀獻策， 並提升公眾保護樹木的意識，宣揚生命教育的重要 性。 融洽氛圍 教大連續十四年獲香港社會服務聯會頒發「同心展 關懷」標誌。此外，教大亦獲勞工處頒發《好僱主約 章》證書，並獲家庭議會評為「家庭友善僱主」及授 予「特別嘉許」獎。本校在推廣母乳餵哺友善工作間 方面，備受社會認可，先後獲家庭議會頒發「支持母 乳餵哺獎」，以及聯合國兒童基金會之感謝狀。 The EdUHK Foundation held a reception to express its sincere gratitude to donors, supporters and friends of the University for their unwavering support.
