Design and implementation of general test item bank system on the Web

Abstract
A solution of general test item bank system based on theories of Education Meterage is realized by asp.net, c#, sqlServer2000 and IIS in this paper. The system creates test papers by a way of combination of intelligent and manual methods, which can control the level of difficulty, discrimination, content validity and score of the test paper efficiently. Users can also define the display order of item types. The system may update the parameters of items and test papers in database after every test. Each item has some tags, which enable easy search of all test items. At last, we apply the system in the context of university physics.
