Abstract The focus of this issue is on the implementation of science investigative activities in the primary classroom. It features a number of articles on such themes as science investigation and creativity, the application of datalogging in science investigation and its advantages over conventional experimental set-ups, and a simple method for tracing the path of the sun from sunrise to sunset in different seasons. There is also an interesting article describing how to make use of the edible seeds of leguminous plants as materials for simple investigative activities on classification, germination and phototropism. This issue also discusses further on the classification of science investigative activities and summarizes the major findings of a survey on the perception of teachers about primary science education. Last but not least, in two short articles, two primary teachers share with us their experiences in and feelings toward implementing investigative activities in their classes. |
