Invited Presentation at The International Symposium “Creating a Blueprint for an International Improvement Community for Teachers” Prof. Allan Walker (Joseph Lau Chair Professor of International Educational Leadership, Director of APCLC and Dean of FEHD) was invited to give presentation at the International Symposium of “Creating a Blueprint for an International Improvement Community for Teachers” was held on October 10-11, 2017 at The Education University of Hong Kong. Prof. Walker’s presentation “Future-oriented School Leader Development – Agility and Purpose” explored a number of future-oriented issues around school leadership learning and development. Issues include the need for adaptability and agility, horizontal vs vertical development and calls for more collective learning structures within and beyond schools. Illustrations and examples were drawn from a number of different societies. The presentation concluded with some considerations for leader development providers. |
