My congratulations to The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) on the happy and historic occasion of its establishment as Hong Kong’s eighth publicly-funded university.
From its origins as a teacher training scheme in 1853, EdUHK has grown and changed with the times, but its focus on the advancement of teaching and learning and its dedication to the community have remained constants. I am sure that EdUHK will continue to nurture educators, contribute to the advancement of knowledge and play
an important role in moving the territory’s higher education sector forward.
May this milestone of achievement mark the beginning of further growth and success for EdUHK, and bring the promise of a bright and rewarding future for all its members.
