Module Code 單元編號 PSY5051 Module Title 單元名稱 YOUTH MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID FOR TEACHERS Module Synopsis 單元概要 “Youth Mental Health First Aid for Teachers” is developed as a collaboration between the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) and the Mental Health Association Hong Kong (MHAHK). This course provides basic training in the Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) program and working with children and young people who require mental health assistance and support in the school system in Hong Kong. This will be achieved through the completion of the YMHFA course and involvement in services to mental health clients organized by the MHAHK. Participants will complete the YMHFA course and be qualified as a Youth Mental Health First Aider with a Certificate in Youth Mental Health First Aid if they pass the standardized examination. Positive psychology approach will be introduced first as part of the course to address participants’ personal issues and help them develop the personal qualities of effective helping professionals.
