APCLC Knowledge Transfer / Academic Exchange Programme –
Leaders' Learning for Scholar-practitioners of
Charles Darwin University (CDU) and
Department of
Education in Norther Territory, Australia (DoE)

During the programme, leaders and scholar-practitioners from CDU and DoE visited the PLK Tin Ka Ping Primary School and took part in the formal learning session at The Education University of Hong Kong. At the learning session, Prof. Allan Walker, Joseph Lau Chair Professor of International Educational Leadership, Director of APCLC and Faculty Dean of Education and Human Development, provided a focus on themes related to strategic and intercultural leadership for educational reforms. Dr Qian Haiyan, Research Fellow of APCLC, led discussions related to intercultural leadership and leading world class schools with reference to the successful experience of educational reforms in Shanghai and Hong Kong. Dr James Ko, Research Fellow of APCLC, furthered the discussion with school governance, autonomy and accountability of Hong Kong schools.
