APCLC wins Public Policy Research Grant of Central Policy Unit, HKSARG

Dr Annie Cheng and Dr Elson Szeto were awarded a competitive PPR grant of Central Policy Unit, Hong Kong Government to examine impact of Mainland exchange programmes, study tours and volunteer activities on Hong Kong youth’s national identity. This study aims to:

	examine secondary students’ perceptions of their national identity;
	evaluate whether the Mainland exchange activities have influences on students’ perceptions of national identity;
	identify which types of those activities can enhance their formation of national identity; and
	identify what factors of Mainland exchange activities attribute to their change in national identity.
