The project holders will discuss the findings on student teachers’ senses of agency and work experience during the teaching practicum. In specific, it will be argued that a successful practicum experience may not be dependent on the actual performance in observed lessons, but ore their confidence in their capacities in providing instructional and emotional support to their students and their senses of work accomplishment in the practicum contexts. The challenge of developing an effective intervention to promote student teachers’ agency beliefs and pedagogical awareness will be discussed. Some considerations of student teachers and experienced teachers on giving feedback o students will be compared.
