Asia Leadership Roundtable 2016 Themed “Surfacing Indigenous leader practices (knowledge)”, the Roundtable this year will allow more than 60 regional and international education scholars, practitioners, training managers, policymakers and principals from 14 countries and territories in the region and beyond to share research findings and knowledge related to indigenous leader practices; work to build the knowledge base of indigenous leader practices and most importantly connect the knowledge base of indigenous leader practices to the global knowledge base of educational leadership. Professor Allan Walker and Professor Tan Oon-seng, Director of NIE, will officiate the opening of Asia Leadership Roundtable 2016. Professor David Hung, Associate Dean of Overseas and External Relations of NIE, Dr Guri Skedsmo, Associate Professor at Department of Teacher Education and School Research of University of Oslo, and Professor Philip Hallinger, Visiting Professor in the Faculty of Education at Chulalongkorn University cum Senior Research Fellow of APCLC, will deliver keynote speeches. Mr. Anthony Mackay, Chairman of the Centre for Strategic Education (CSE) Melbourne, Australia; Prof. Dato' Dr Ibrahim Ahmad Bajunid, Deputy Vice Chancellor of INTI-Laureate International Universities and Professor of Management, Education and the Social Sciences; Dr David Ng, Associate Professor from NIE, will deliver provocateur presentations. APCLC Research Fellows and International Affiliates Professor Alma Harris, Professor Wendy Pan, Professor Li Jiacheng, Dr David Ng, Dr Pongsin Viseshsiri, Dr Ori Eyal, Dr Zheng Yulian, Dr Qian Haiyan, Dr Elson Szeto and Ms Nguyen Thi Hong Dao, and APCLC Associate Directors Dr Darren Bryant and Dr Lu Jiafang, will share the initial indigenous models developed from research findings related to instructional leadership.
